The copper plate  is in excellent condition,  there are small surface scaratches  present, which the scan has picked up, but they look worse than what they actually are. Also in normal day light the colour is a deep golden amber colour, not the dull colour shown in the scan.I have reversed the image so you can read the plate. These plates came from the archives of Thomas Waide & Sons, Chemist Label Printers to the trade. The building was demolished in the late 1990's and 10's of thousands of plates were sent to a waste metal dealer and melted down. I have the remaining plates, which will be sold on line over the coming months. There are some superb examples to list, please keep checking for new uploads.
