When the Copeland family owned the company from 1833, the Spode brand was always used alongside their name often styled Copeland late Spode, you will find this mark to the base of the cup.
Invalid feeders came in a multitude of shapes, colours and designs. Some were plain porcelain, some had blue transfers such as this example, which is called the "Tower" pattern.
Sadly this particular feeder has been damaged and restored at some point, but it is still a significant piece and displays wonderfully.
