19th Century Amber Dr Fenners Kidney & Backache Cure Bottle

On Offer is a superb, embossed,originally labelled, "Amber Cure Bottle"!

Not only does it have its original label, it also has its original contents.

The Amber bottle is quite impressive, the main front panel is embossed with the following text:

The rear panel is covered in a large label, red on white header, with black text.
It bestowes its healing properties; it can cure catarrh of the bladder, dropsy, heart disease, rheumatism, soreness or lameness of the back, all female weaknesses, impotency, brights disease, etc.

The Label is printed in English to the left hand side and German to the right hand side.

To the base of the label, the cost is printed at $1.00 per bottle.

Apart from a couple of areas of insignificant paper loss, the label is in very reasonable condition,. The text is fading, but it is still readable.

A cracking "Cure Bottle" Corked, labelled and embossed!

DEFECTS:

An insignificant loss of paper to the main label (about 4 areas in total)
A scratch to the glass just above the top of the label.
Very old damage to the lip of the bottle, slivers have been chiiped away for some reason.

This is no way detracts from the overall presentation of the bottle, a rare labelled with contents "Cure Bottle"
