Superb 19th Century Pontiled Liquor Round With Rare Pink Label
on offer is a superb free blown flint glass Aqua Round with rare pink label
AQUA LAVAND: Aqua Lavandulae: Lavender Water.
Lavender is obtained by distillation from the flowers of Lavandula vera, a plant cultivated in England, France and other countries.
It occurs as a pale yellow, yellowish-green, or nearly colourless liquid, having the fragrant odour of the flowers, and a pungent, slightly bitter taste.
The spirit of lavender may be administered on sugar in flatulence and colic; it is largely employed in perfumery, and is occasionally useful in pharmacy to cover disagreeable odours in ointments and other compounds.
This is a super example! having a polished pontil scar to the base, and a hand blown stopper which is then cut into facets. The rare Pink label is in excellent condition and the body is free from damage, the glass is in excellent condition! The pink label is also in excellent condition. These are good investment bottles, and display wonderfully too.
